Following the RINGS partners’ meeting, the RINGS National Training Workshop of Slovakia took place on 20 May 2022 with the focus on discussing the importance of strategic planning with the member federations of Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee (SOSC). The event was opened by SOSC President, Anton Siekel, and Secretary General, Jozef Liba. Attended by representatives from more than 20 member federations of the SOSC, the RINGS project with its tools was presented to the audience by Project Manager Heidi Pekkola from the EOC EU Office. In addition, Secretary General of the Liechtenstein Olympic Committee, Beat Wachter, shared as a good practice example their journey to develop the NOC’s strategic plan. After that, SOSC Executive Director, Gábor Asványi, deepened the discussion by linking it to the national context with his presentation on the strategic planning of SOSC and its sports strategy with a current situation analysis in Slovakia. Thus, the RINGS National Training Workshop of Slovakia was well connected with the current strategic discussions on the sport development in the country.
